He graduated from Moscow Engineering Physics Institute, Cybernetics Department, with PhD in Engineering and also obtained MBA from Henley Management College (UK).
Kirill joined IBM in 1993 after 10 years of pedagogical and R&D activities at Moscow Engineering Physics Institute. Over the 18 years with IBM, Kirill supervised company’s key business units in Russia and CIS, while occupying top posts in IBM Global Services (1993 – 1997) and being promoted to the position of IBM Executive Director for Russia and CIS (1997 – 1998).
Before becoming a CEO, Kirill had been Channel Development Director in IBM Eastern Europe/Asia, with hardware and software sales, cooperation with business partners, marketing and communications all being under his supervision.
Since 2002, he has been Country Manager, IBM Russia & CIS, leading the company’s business on the three key markets: Russia, Ukraine and other CIS states. The sustainable development plan elaborated under his supervision contributed to more than seven-fold business growth in Russia and the CIS (compared to 2002) and expanded IBM presence from one city (Moscow) to 14 cities in Russia, as well as in Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.
Kirill is a member of Executive Committee of Moscow International Business Association, board member of the Information & Computer Technologies Industry Association (APKIT), and a member of the Board of Trustees at the Higher School of Management under St. Petersburg State University.
