IT Leader Prize Award Ceremony

April 19, 2006: The Fourth Annual National IT Leader Prize Award Ceremony was held at the Amber Plaza Business Center in Moscow. The IT Leader Prize was awarded to CIOs of government authorities and businesses representing key industries of the Russian economy for active the implementation of information technology in 2005. A total of approximately 250 IT industry representatives attended the Award Ceremony.

At first, 54 government organizations and businesses were nominated in 18 industry-specific categories. The Expert Council comprised of the directors of leading global IT vendors and Russia's consulting companies, as well as representatives from reputable mass media voted to select the IT Leader Prize winners. Compliance of voting with approved expert survey methodology was monitored by KPMG, IT Leader Prize Independent Observer.

22 organizations and CIOs were awarded with the IT Leader Prize (a crystal rhomb with golden ornamentation - a symbol of fresh ideas, clear intentions, and innovative initiatives) for the implementation of prominent IT projects and the advancement of cutting-edge information technology that increases business efficiency and spurs development across the Russian nation.
