The roundtable "Competitive Advantages Provided by Information Technology for the Business" was organized during the Business Trip to Tel-Aviv. Yitzhak Hen, Director General of All-Israeli Management Institute, opened the roundtable and accentuated the importance of information technology for economic development in Israel, the only democratic state in the Middle East.

The IT Leader Business Trip included visits to three high-tech enterprises: Mekorot National Water Company supplying 90% of drinking water and 70% of the overall water consumption in Israel (in addition to water treatment facilities, attendees visited computer center for centralized manufacturing management); ICL Fertilizers, one of the world’s largest producers of potash and products based on phosphate rock and special fertilizers; and Israel Aerospace Industries, a globally recognized leader in military and commercial aerospace technology. "At IAI we have seen high-tech in action. We were impressed with the company’s engagement in the equipping of military and civil aircrafts with high-precision devices, avionics, and airborne electronics. We've also seen production lines for aircraft modernization," said Natalia Ermolaeva, Editor of CIO Magazine.
