Ed Toben

IT Advisor, Colgate-Palmolive

Mr. Toben has extensive global experience managing information technology and finance functions gained at the Colgate-Palmolive Company over his twenty-year tenure with the organization. He most recently served as Senior Vice President of Global Information Technology and Business Services until his retirement in 2009. In this role, he was accountable for all information technology and business services across the enterprise, with shared services locations in Warsaw, Dublin, NY/NJ, Kuala Lumpur and Mumbai.

Earlier, he served as Colgate-Palmolive Company's Global Chief Information Officer. In this position, Mr. Toben led the global implementation of SAP's application portfolio across 107 countries. Mr. Toben's initial role at the Company was Vice President for Information Technology in the Colgate US subsidiary. In 2003, he was elected a Corporate Officer and a member of the Corporate Executive Committee.

Prior to joining Colgate in 1990, Mr. Toben was President of Americas Systems Inc., an information technology consulting company operating primarily in Europe. He previously held various financial and information technology positions for SeaLand Corporation, a global transportation company.

Mr. Toben has served on the Board of Directors of Transora Corporation and on the Board of Governors of GS1 Uniform Code Council. He also was a member of IBM's Board of Advisors until his retirement. He is currently IT Advisor at Colgate-Palmolive.

Mr. Toben received an undergraduate business degree from Villanova University and an MBA from Fordham University. He currently serves on the Board of Advisors for the business schools at both Villanova and Fordham.
