Nikolay Uskov


In 1987, Nikolay Uskov entered the History Department of Lomonosov Moscow State University to spend 13 years there, first as a student and then as a lecturer and Associate Professor. He was interested in medieval history and studied poorly explored Western Europe church history together with gaining a deep insight into the early Middle Ages.

In 2000, Nikolay joined Independent Media to become an Editor of website and then of Men's Health Magazine, finally being promoted to the position of the magazine's Editor-in-Chief in 2002.

In 2003, Conde Nast Publishing House invited him to become an Editor-in-Chief at GQ Russia (Gentlemens Quarterly) Magazine.

In 2007, Nikolay launched and headed GQ Style Magazine and, jointly with Arkady Novikov and partners, opened GQ bar.
In 2012, he left GQ in order to head the Snob project.

Since February 2016, Nikolay has been an Editor-in-Chief at Forbes Magazine.
