IT Leader Forum: Changes as a Response to Restrictions

September 2, 2014
Russian business representatives and IT experts will gather on October 14, 2014, in the Swissotel conference center to discuss how to act under restrictions. This is a key topic of the 11th IT Leader Forum–major IT industry event, which brings together approximately 300 attendees every year. The IT Leader Forum will include a general plenary session followed by three parallel discussions.

Reputed foreign economists, the Forum’s special guests, will make presentations at the Plenary Session and call for an individual approach to business that keeps pace with changing circumstances.

Is the potential of the largest technology companies and social networks that launch financial services really so significant? Does it pay for banks to launch non-core services for clients? Does the current situation allow for business diversification and what is the best way to achieve it? The answers to these questions will be given during the first discussion on Adjacent Market Penetration. Speakers will share their vision on how to strengthen market positioning during stagnation and when faced with economic sanctions, with one of the strategies being to expand to adjacent markets like the most active players usually do.

During the second discussion on New Consumer Services, new wave companies that benefit from the broad use of IT will share their case studies on how to improve consumer loyalty and find new sources of income. Attendees will learn about their experiences and advanced approaches to customized and personalized servicing and feedback collection.

The third discussion on Cost Reduction Sources will feature representatives of companies that have already managed to reduce costs without any deterioration in product or service quality. Attendees will focus on management resource optimization, reducing production costs, good planning and stringent financial control.

"Russian companies face many challenges today: stagnation, falling client expenditure, fund raising difficulties, adverse extra-market factors, on the one hand, and the need for faster growth to remain in the race, on the other. The IT Leader Forum will help us understand how to address these issues using new technology solutions," said Maxim Kashulinsky, Director General at portal, who will moderate the IT Leader Forum.
