IT Leader Forum: Minimizing IT Project Implementation Risks in Modern Organizations

November 8, 2005: The Second Annual IT Leader Forum was held in Plasma Hall Media Center in Moscow. The Forum was organized by the Russian Managers Association, RosBusinessConsulting Group, and CROC, and brought together over 150 CIOs from Russia's largest businesses. Leading IT experts discussed issues related to emerging technology, the mitigating of IT project implementation risks, and the maintenance of business continuity utilizing IT.


The Forum opened with a plenary presentation by Dr. Alexander Peters, CIO Group Principal Analyst, Forrester Research. Dr. Peters shared international best practices in the implementation of business continuity concepts and its economic and technology aspects, and talked about the conclusions made by the global IT community after 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina.


The Forum continued with three Panel Sessions. The first Panel Session was devoted to guaranteed availability of business-critical applications. The second Panel Session focused on the information security of critical applications. Finally, the third Panel Session covered business technology that helps align IT solutions capabilities with changing business requirements.
