Russian Business Executives Discuss Internet of Things Experience at the IT Leader Forum

On October 18, over 20 experts and top managers of Russian companies will get together at the International Multimedia Press Center of Russia Today International Information Agency (RIA Novosti) to take part in the IT Leader Forum 2016, which will consist of two discussion sessions devoted to the Internet of Things (IoT) and its implementation.

The forum will be moderated by Nikolay Uskov, Russian historian and journalist, Editor-in-Chief at Forbes Magazine, and former Editor-in-Chief at GQ Russia Magazine (2003-2012).

The first session Revolution in competition. IoT as a tool to fight for customers will cover the current Russian IoT market, the readiness of all players to adopt IoT solutions, and case studies showing how companies are profiting from this technology right now. The discussion will bring together representatives of banks and transportation and retail companies, including Andrey Popov (Head of IT Directorate, Member of the Board, Raiffeisenbank), Evgeny Charkin (IT Director, Russian Railways), Roman Babaev (CEO, CSKA Football Club), and Kirill Dubchak (IT Director, Eldorado). The session will also feature presentations by solution providers and IT project partners, including Igor Rudym (IoT Ecosystem Development Manager, Intel), Boris Bobrovnikov (Director General, CROC), Alexander Savinov (Smart City & Internet of Everything Solutions Leader, Cisco Systems), and others. In addition, Pawel Zakowicz, Director for Central & Eastern Europe at Forrester Research, will also share development prospects for IoT in the B2C market.

During the second session, titled IoT for manufacturing: complete transformation or smart add-on? Maxim Tambiev (Country Manager for Russia at Forrester Research), Dmitry Lasht (Head of Commercial and Public Sectors at HPE Russia), and Maxim Andreev (Business Applications Director at CROC), will share their views on IoT development prospects in Russia. In addition, Konstantin Kravchenko (Head of IT, Automation and Telecom at Gazprom Neft), and Sergey Sulimov (Member of the Board of Directors at Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works), will tell attendees about IoT developments in manufacturing while Andrey Sinitsin (, STRIJ Telematics) and Viktor Polyakov (Director of Tibbo Systems), will discuss smart agriculture and utilities, quality control and cost reduction. Furthermore, Alexey Zakharov, President of, will also share his vision of how the job market is changing with IoT adoption, while, finally, Mikhail Kader, Ciscos Honored Systems Engineer for information security in Russia and CIS countries, will explain how IoT is bringing security to a brand new level.
